What is the difference between a test fit and a space plan?
Asked 2 years ago
Hey there, I'm currently working on optimizing our office space and want to know what's the difference between a test fit and a space plan. Are they essentially the same thing, or are there key differences between them? Can someone clarify what each term means and when they should be used in the space planning process? I'd love to hear some examples or case studies too. Thanks

A test fit is an initial analysis of the office space to determine the most efficient and functional layout. It provides a basic layout of the space and shows the location of major elements such as walls, doors, and windows. On the other hand, a space plan is a more detailed and comprehensive layout that takes into account the specific needs of the business or organization. It includes details such as the size and placement of furniture, equipment, and storage solutions, as well as lighting, acoustics, and ergonomics. Nevertheless, both are important steps in the space planning process to create a functional and efficient workspace.
