I started a new green incentive in our offices, so I want to understand the energy and resource usage of the space in order to identify areas where I can make improvements and reduce our carbon footprint. Can you provide guidance on how to calculate the energy and resource usage of the office space, including any tools or methods that can help me track and analyze this data?

The first step of calculating energy and resource usage is measuring energy consumption. This includes all energy sources in your office, like electricity or gas. Once you've got all of the energy and resource expenditures calculated, divide them by the number of employees to determine the usage per employee. Having this data will help you reduce your carbon footprint and optimize energy usage.
It's worth noting that you'll probably find areas of high consumption - this is completely normal and expected. Finding these areas of high consumption will help you identify opportunities for savings and will help you make your office greener.
