Where should PIR sensors be placed in the office space?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello, I've been looking for a way to optimize energy usage in my office space. I'm considering using PIR sensors to control the lighting, but I'm not sure where they should be placed for maximum effectiveness. Can someone recommend the best places to install them and what I should look out for?

When installing PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors in the office, it's important to place them in areas that have higher occupancy levels. This usually means corridors, hallways, meeting rooms, and offices. Since PIR sensors work by detecting motion in their field of view, they should be placed in areas with a clear line of sight to monitor places where occupancy is expected. Also, keep in mind that they should be ideally installed at a height of around 2 meters to ensure optimal coverage of the space.
