How effective are PIR sensors in the workplace?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello. I want to start using sensors in the workspace of my publishing company and I'm leaning toward PIR sensors because of how affordable they are. But I've heard that these sensors are not that effective for areas where employees are sitting down for long periods of time. Does anyone know if this is true?

The effectiveness of PIR sensors depends on whether they're configured and placed properly. They can get the job done both during the daytime and at night, but they're primarily used for detecting motion. So, it's possible that PIR sensors might not detect employees if they're sitting down for long periods of time.
