What dwell time would indicate acceptable conference room utilization?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi there, I’m hoping to find out what an acceptable dwell time would be for our conference rooms because I want to ensure they are being used effectively and that we're making the most efficient use of our space. What dwell time metric should we be aiming for? Thanks a lot.

To determine the dwell time for a conference room, it’s first vital to identify the busiest time of day and the week in your office. For instance, a Wednesday afternoon will see more footfall than a Saturday morning.
Once you’ve factored this in, the accepted utilization of a conference room should be between 40% and 60% of the time. To find the dwell time this corresponds to, track additional metrics such as bi-directional footfalls.
