Are the size requirements for office spaces decreasing because of hybrid work?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello everyone! I'm considering downsizing our office space as we transition to a hybrid work model, but I still want our space to be functional and flexible. Can someone provide information on whether the size requirements for office spaces are decreasing because of hybrid work, and what factors I should consider when designing an office space that meets the needs of my employees? Thank you!

While the answer to this question depends on the type of work your business does, the current trend indicates that an increasing number of employees prefer to work from home. Generally speaking, it's recommended that each employee has around 170 square feet of space to work effectively, which is approximately 16 square meters. This includes room for desks, chairs, cabinets, and other furniture. So, if you've got a business that's transitioning to a hybrid work model, consider surveying your employees to know how many of them will work remotely or in the office.
