What kind of workplace is desk hoteling best for?
Asked 2 years ago
I'm researching different workplace models and I'm interested in learning more about desk hoteling. What type of workplace environment will this model work best in? Would it be more suitable for certain industries, or is it better suited for certain job roles within an organization? Any insights or experiences will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

More often than not, desk hotelling is best suited for workplaces where employees don't require a permanent or dedicated workspace. So, this model is ideal for organizations with mobile workers or employees who work remotely and need a place to work in the office occasionally. It's also useful for organizations with multiple locations or those that frequently host visiting workers.
Of course, desk hotelling can be implemented in any industry, although it may be more beneficial for organizations with a high percentage of mobile or remote workers, such as tech or consulting firms. Nevertheless, it's important to note that desk hotelling requires careful planning and effective communication to ensure that employees have access to the resources they need to be productive.
