What is the best way to calculate dwell time for different spaces within an office?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi all, I want to calculate the dwell time for different spaces in our office like workstations, conference rooms, and common areas. Can anyone suggest the best way to do this? Any pointers will be much appreciated.

To calculate dwell time within an office, tracking metrics related to employee movement is vital.
Once all your data is in place, the best method to calculate dwell time would be to use bi-directional footfall counts and the average occupancy of a room over a specific period. Be sure to consider factors like time of day and week once you arrive at a final figure.
POC Systems, especially the booking app, allows you to easily keep track of data, such as average footfall and the number of hours a particular place has been booked out.
