What are the potential benefits and drawbacks of hot desking?
Asked 2 years ago
As an HR manager, I'm considering implementing a hot desking policy for our office space. I know that this can potentially save the company money and improve collaboration, but it also has some drawbacks, like the fact that workspace is less personalized. I'm interested in hearing more about the potential benefits and drawbacks for the employees and the company. Is there anyone that can give any insights on this topic?

Hot desking is a great idea to implement in a modern office, but you first must consider all of its pros and cons. The main advantages are the following:
- High compatibility with different approaches to work.
- Increased collaboration among employees.
- Incredibly cost-effective for both time and space.
- It's easy to make the office a tidy place.
On the other hand, hot desking has some disadvantages too, like:
- More disruptions and distractions in the workplace.
- A less structured and unclear hierarchy.
