How to best plan our large office space?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi! I've recently opened up an architecture firm and the office space is a very long and narrow shape. We will eventually grow into this space as we hire more people but currently I fear that if we space out too much we will lose our sense of community in the office. How can I optimize this office space for the employees? Anyone have any tips on how to utilize this extra space we have?

Start by thinking ahead and planning how much space new employees need. Consider the furniture, storage, and desk space they’ll be using.
You'll also need some extra storage space once your business expands. More staff require more office supplies, equipment, and paperwork. Having adequate storage space is essential for keeping clutter at bay.
You may also need more workstations or desks if you have remote workers. Finally, you should have a designated reception and waiting area for visitors if your company wants to make a good impression.
