Hey I am a HR representative for a media company. We are in the process of restructuring our office spaces for our employees. As we are interested in incorporating some form of desk sharing into our business we are trying determine the amount of workspaces we will require. How do you determine an appropriate office desk sharing ratio? Thank you and advance

When it comes to determining an appropriate office desk-sharing ratio, there are a few factors that should be taken into consideration. Firstly - the size of the workspace. This includes the number of desks and workstations available. Secondly, the type of work being done by employees - is it primarily desk-based or more collaborative? Lastly, factor in the number of employees who will be using each workspace and their density ratio.
When taking all these factors into account, a good rule of thumb is to aim for an employee density ratio of around 4-6 square feet per employee in larger workspaces, and 2-3 square feet per employee in smaller offices. This allows for ample space between desks while still ensuring maximum efficiency.
