Which hybrid work schedule is most effective?
Asked 2 years ago
Hey, I am the HR manager at a printing company. The company has now decided to move on to making most of our employees have a hybris working schedule. However, there are multiple types of hybrid work model that exist (e.g. at will, split week, office first). What are the pros and cons of these different models? TYIA

Here’s a quick rundown:
At-will
Pros:
- Employees have more freedom
- No commutes means higher satisfaction
- Shows trust in staff
- Widens hiring pool (geographically)
Cons:
- Managing employees can get complex
- Office culture becomes a challenge
- Interpersonally skilled workers may struggle
Split Week
Pros:
- Reduces operational costs
- Boosts collaboration while still providing some flexibility
Cons:
- Restricting. Employees who don't feel well enough to commute or those with other obligations can lose paid time
Office-first
Pros:
- Employees are easier to manage
Cons:
- Limits employees’ freedom
- Restricts hiring pool (geographically)
To manage employee schedules and keep track of who is on-site, use POC.
