What are the different types of hybrid work schedules?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi. I want to start using a hybrid work model for my employees at a call center, but it's important to me that the schedule works for everyone. So, I want to learn more about all of the different types of hybrid work schedules that are commonly used. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Hybrid schedules combine the best of working remotely and in-office. There are two basic schedules: cohort and flexible. Choose the one that best suits your industry and employees.
Cohort Schedules
These are fixed schedules wherein higher-ups decide which days employees must report to the office and which days they can work from home.
3:2 Model
Here, all employees must work the same three days in the office and the rest remotely. Since everyone is on-site, it may not be practical for smaller offices.
Bottom-up Model
Managers decide how many days a week workers should be on-site but let employees or teams choose which days. It helps save on space and operating costs as not everyone will be at the office.
Staggered Schedule
Call centers and other shift-oriented businesses can benefit from staggered schedules. Employees are provided predetermined schedules where groups do not log in and log out at the same time. It helps ensure any missed shifts do not disrupt workflow.
Flexible Work Schedules
These schedules let employees choose their work location (home or office) and working hours.
Flexi-place
Employees can work off-site or on-site as long as their working hours are met.
Flexi-time
Employees can work whenever they want as long as they produce results. This is best for companies without strict time-ins.
